Hello! I’m Tracy Crisp, and this is my newsletter Naive Psychologist.
It’s a personal newsletter that is sometimes joyfully melancholic, other times melancholically joyful. It is mostly domestic, sometimes dramatic, filled with small stories from my small part of the world. As I write this I’ve just started sending it weekly, but I’d hate to declare it a weekly newsletter. I’m well known for my inconsistency.
I’m a writer, performer and funeral celebrant living part time by the beach in Adelaide on Kaurna Country and part time in a small house in the Clare Valley on Njadjuri Country.
I am currently working on a new piece for performance, Who Killed Gough Whitlam? to be launched at Adelaide Fringe 2026. Also in 2026, I’ll be launching my next book Pearls: Memoir Fragments, based on my previous six performance scripts.
